Warren-Trumbull County Public Library to open new branch in Eastwood Mall

(06/13/2025) – Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (W-TCPL) customers will soon have access to all their favorite library materials, services, and programs at a new branch that will be opening inside the Eastwood Mall.

Tentatively scheduled to open Sept. 2, 2025, the new Eastwood Mall Library will offer convenient access to books, technology, and programming for people of all ages at a central, accessible location.

“The Eastwood Mall Complex is a thriving community destination with shopping, restaurants, and entertainment options,” said Jim Wilkins, W-TCPL Executive Director. “This is a wonderful opportunity to provide library services and support to the people who regularly shop, visit, and work there.”

The Eastwood Mall Library, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Rd., Niles, Ohio, will be located in a 2,500-square-foot store-front in the JCPenney concourse, just steps from the children’s indoor play area and across from Mercy Health St. Joe’s at the Mall.

Joe Bell, Cafaro Company Director of Corporate Communications, said “We wholeheartedly believe that a vibrant local library is vital to any community. That’s why we are thrilled to provide a home for a branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library inside Eastwood Mall. It joins the growing, diverse lineup of amenities for the many people who visit us every day.”

The Eastwood Mall Library will offer a welcoming space for reading, learning, and connection. A wide selection of books, movies, and other library materials will be available for checkout and return; Internet-accessible computers, printers, and Wi-Fi will be available for public use; and a robust schedule of programming for children, teens, and adults will be offered.

Wilkins said the new branch library reflects the W-TCPL’s continued commitment to serving Trumbull County residents by providing innovative, community-focused services in a strategic way.

“This new location will help us expand library access for even more members of our community in a dynamic and accessible setting,” Wilkins said. “We are excited to bring the library into this popular community hub.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration will be held in early September, with special events and giveaways planned throughout the month.
